Peer Review Groups
As
iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Studies
have shown membership in a peer group is one of the common denominators
of profitable company's.
Many times employees may
see all the perks of ownership but never the myriad of employee
issues you must address. Or the challenge
to continually add value to your products and services
to keep margins from slipping or the risk
associated with a turn of the economy, the investment
new plant and equipment purchases that are required, the
long hours, the challenge of disseminating the
vision (over and over and over) and quite frankly the"
loneliness at the top" we often feel but never outwardly
acknowledge.
And while your bankers,
accountants and attorneys are experts in their fields, few have
any experience in making the types of business and human resource
decisions you are faced with daily.
Family members or significant
others, care deeply about, and are impacted by our decisions, but
seldom do they have the business acumen or appropriate emotional
distance to assist us in the way which can most benefit our business.
Thus the value of a peer
group. It allows you to step back from working in
the business once a month, to meet with others facing similar
challenges and work on your business for a change.
We all know an ounce of
prevention is worth a pound of cure. This is the ounce of
prevention that keeps your attorney or accountant from saying "I
wish you'd called me sooner".
Our
motto is “ Working on your business has never been as rewarding….or
fun”. We combine this opportunity of rubbing shoulders
and sharpening the saw with other business owners as a dynamic that
will increase your personal enthusiasm and motivation - allowing
you to deliver improved vision and leadership to your organization.
A
wise man listens to advice, a fool only to himself.
Our
national groups
are vertically aligned groups and meet three times a year. Each
meeting consists of a day and a half business meeting on specific
issues involving their performance as well as issues relevant to
their vertical market. Groups are made up of approximately
15 non-competing businesses within each vertical. We meet at
easily accessible but exclusive clubs throughout the continental
US.

For
lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory
sure.
