The principal's of Accountability Partners have over 25 years experience as private business owners and leaders of Fortune 500 firms.  We assist our clients in creating achievable, aggressive business plans in line with the growth opportunities within their industry and the level of risk and reward that is appropriate in their circumstances.

All client business plans are audited to ensure sales plans are properly aligned and have measurable milestones identified.  Most importantly, we use various tools and processes to ensure the organization's current state allows it to achieve the desired business goals and that it has the capital resources in place to support the business goals.

J.R. Samples

Mr. Samples business experience includes over 30 years as a business owner and Fortune 500 executive.  He began his career with one of "the big-iron" computer manufacturers where he attained many individual and team recognitions.   He then became a member of one of the fastest growing accounting application vendors in the United States.  In the mid-80's he acquired one of the divisions and grew it 3-fold eventually merging it with a Canadian subsidiary.

He joined a professional services firm as partner in the early 90's and was responsible for it's 5-fold increase in profitability over a 4 year period.  He led the sales process to a F500 firm where he remained as an Area President. 

In 2005 he began Accountability Partners.  J.R. resides in Aurora, Il just outside Chicago, with his wife Megan, and children Matt, Jessica and Jack. 

Among his accomplishments are:

•  Merger and acquisition experience with each of his organizations

•  Directed the acquisition process to Fortune 500 Company

•  Led additional acquisitions and operational integration

•  Established consulting methodologies, standards and deliverables

•  Provided turnaround management in assisting several organizations facing cash-flow, product development and competitive challenges

•  Retrained and rebuilt sales staff from product/transaction based selling to solution selling best practices

His training includes Six Sigma leadership training, Karrass Negotiating Seminars, Franklin Covey and extensive sales, management and technical courses. He was a previous member of TEC - The Executive Committee and various vertical peer groups.

Bruce J. Tianen

Mr. Tianen is a Information Technology Executive with demonstrated experience in strategic information systems consulting, senior personnel management and contract management. He has provided management and emerging technology solutions (i.e. CRM, ERP, CPR) to meet the strategic business challenges of clients utilizing ITIL, SDLC and PMI best practices.

His engagements have produced the following measurable results:

•  IT Infrastructure operating expenses were decreased by 35% representing $5 million over five years through automation of data center operations and consolidation of systems.

•  IT support calls reduced by 50% and increased call resolution rate by 400% resulting in heightened customer satisfaction ratings.

•  Operating margins improved by 20% while increasing customer service through implementation of a self-service web order system model.

•  Reduced printing costs and increased end-user satisfaction by eliminating all data center printing and leveraging the use of multi-purpose copier, scanner, fax and printing devices.

•  Directed the development of the first DRP/BCP, (Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan) for an international organization.

•  Directed reduction of mainframe outsourcing costs from $3 Million per year to complete elimination

Lawrence J. Lato

Mr. Lato works with Mr. Tianen in the delivery of the above engagements and has 40 years Banking Operations, IT Consulting and Project Management experience.  He is PMP certified and also assists clients with Project Management preparation, delivery and mentoring of staff.
